Claro Brasil pretende liderar el mercado de telefonía móvil
Claro quiere liderar el segmento móvil en Brasil, dijo Paulo César Teixeira, que se convirtió en CEO local de la compañía en el mes de abril. El ejecutivo dejó claro que el objetivo central de su gestión será superar a las compañías telefónicas TIM y Vivo y anunció su estrategia para crecer en el mercado de la telefonía móvil.
Como dos primeras iniciativas, el operador dio fin a la tarifa nacional de larga distancia y al cobro por minutos de voz, promoción que se inició los fines de semana en todos los planes de postpago. La oferta permitía al cliente hablar con cualquier persona, independientemente de la ciudad y el operador de destino, ya sea a un teléfono fijo, ya sea para un móvil, ya que siempre utilice el código o prefijo DDD 21. “El exclusivo club ha terminado”, declaró Paulo César Teixeira, presidente de Claro, según informó el portal digital brasileño de Telecomunicaciones telesíntese.
Según Teixiera, la compañía está adoptando la estrategia de tarifa fija, similar a lo que ya se practica por diferentes empresas en otros países, porque ahora las tarifas de interconexión (VU-M) en Brasil están a niveles mucho más bajos, lo que permite la implementación de estrategias como éstas. “Vamos a tener pérdidas de ingresos controlados, pero la idea es recuperar los ingresos con más ventas”, dijo Teixeira.
Además de la adopción de la tarifa fija en el postpago y simplificación de los planes en el prepago, la operadora anunció también como segunda iniciativa de “su estrategia en busca del liderazgo”, el ingreso en la tecnología 4,5G o el LTE-Advanced Pro en Brasilia, tras la liberación del rango de 700 MHz por las emisoras de TV abiertas.
